Serenades

Not everywhere does one daily here what goes on outside my window.  Yesterday, it was cheering with sports type singing all day long.  At one point, that was interrupted, though, by an electric guitar concert which continued about an hour.  "O Sole Mio" rises daily to my rooms, and quite often the other favorites, such as the theme song from The Godfather, "Besame Mucho", "Cielito Lindo", and "That's Amore" on the accordion.  Sometimes, a violin comes up for a more classical sort of concert.  Other accordion gems are "I Get Ideas" and "My Way," which show up rather frequently.  These concerts come with being on the same block as several restaurants with outdoor seating, and from being within earshot of the Spanish Steps where the thousands of soccer fans gathered before last night's big game--the Coppa Italia finals between Palermo and Inter (Milan).
