Happy Mid-Lent Thursday

...which means, we're halfway through.  The next 5 Sundays have their own names, instead of numbers.  From here, everything speeds up (or, seems to from my point of view).

Today's station is at St. Cosmas and Damian.  Yesterday was at St. Sixtus (which is the motherhouse for Dominican sisters).  They have only 64 sisters there now, according to the one who showed us around last night, making sure we got to see frescoes from the 5th Century, the 13th Century, some modern paintings, and a series in the cloister depicting the life of St. Dominic.  That particular sister has been there 63 years, she says, from the time she was 13!
Tomorrow, St. Lawrence in Lucina (nicknamed "in Cucina," because it has the grill on which St. Lawrence was martyred).

Silly me wasn't paying full attention when thou wrote "Pauses", so I missed Midpoint Thursday! But it's good to know that time proceeds, and how.

Have thee a good Laetare!
