Happy Pentecost

 Three years I've been in Rome.  And this year, finally, I went to the Pantheon for Pentecost. 

 You see the famous hole in the ceiling?  Yes, it gets wet inside when it rains.  Yes, if a blue moon comes by and it snows, the flakes fall through the "oculus."

 And each year on Pentecost, by tradition, the firemen climb to the top and dump rose petals through that same oculus. 

 The rose petals represent the tongues of fire descending on the apostles on the Church's birthday.  And, supposing they they turn into real fire, the firemen are on hand.
