June in Rome, and many fragrant flowers bloom, including these at the Angelicum. They don't mind that the temperatures are in the 90sF, (35+C).
Some of these flowers I can't at all identify, such as this one on the street near my new apartment.
And here are some not-bad views from the roof of my building. One just before a thunderstorm, and the others in warmer, clearer weather.
In the center (somewhat-left) background, one can sort-of see a yellow-ish building with a gray dome on top--the Vatican Observatory on Monte Mario.

The close-up rose-coloured one reminds me of hibiscus, sometimes known as "rose of sharon"; quickly looking for things other folk have called "hibiscus" isn't much help, though, because their leaves are terribly variable! here is a reasonable example.
I'm glad the post and the bank came through; those were some harrowing posts to read last week, so that good news and God's beautiful works are refreshing indeed!
